Palio
Guess where I am today?!! Siena, Italy! Dream. Come. True. Today is the famous Palio Horserace!

In the Palio, the various Sienese “contrade”, or areas in which the city is divided, challenge each other in a passionate horse race in the heart of the city in the Piazza del Campo. Each Contrada has its own unique emblem and colors and represents an area of the city.
Pat & I are meeting up with Jackie Noble & her husband from New Zealand, to cheer for the Torre Contrada! I’m not even sure what will be happening… parades & pageantry, crowds & excitement, food & great memories!
Stay tuned to follow me on this fun adventure! You can check out my Facebook Page where I should be posting pictures along the way…

Hi Cheryl! This is Jill, one of the 3 family members you met at breakfast at the Borgo Grondaie in Siena! Your website is lovely 🙂
How was the rest of your Italy adventure? After the Palio, went flew to Dublin and enjoyed MUCH cooler weather than Italy, thankfully. We saw The Eagles for my hubby’s and my birthdays then headed home. Our 1 month away was fun but it’s good to be back in our quiet city. My daughter Avi said we really must get to Maui to see you and join a workshop!
So great to hear from you, Jill & Avi! We just got home yesterday & had a fabulous time!! So nice to be home, though. I’m excited to reunite with you both when you come to Maui!
