Aloha Stampers!
I love making fun-fold cards, especially when they’re simple to put together but look a little different from an ordinary card!
Today I’m sharing a simple Z-fold card featuring the Painted Pumpkins Bundle and the beautiful Glow of Harvest Specialty Designer Series Paper. The soft fall colors and pretty pumpkin designs make this paper perfect for autumn cards.
A Simple Z-Fold with a Little Sparkle
This card starts with an Early Espresso cardstock base. A couple of score lines give it that fun Z-fold shape, and the Glow of Harvest Designer Series Paper adds a beautiful fall background.
I stamped the pumpkins in Pumpkin Pie ink, cut them out with the coordinating dies, and colored them with my Golden Glow Shimmer Brush.
It’s hard to capture all that sparkle in a photograph, but the shimmer really makes those pumpkins stand out!
I added a few Early Espresso die-cut leaves around the pumpkins and finished the card with gold adhesive dots.
How to Make the Z-Fold
Here’s how I started my card:
- Early Espresso card base: 8½” × 5½”
- Score at: 1¼” and 4¼”
- Glow of Harvest Specialty DSP: Cut to fit the background panels
- Very Vanilla cardstock: For the greeting and inside panel
- Pecan Pie ink: For stamping the pumpkins
- Early Espresso cardstock scraps: For the die-cut leaves
After scoring the card base, fold along the score lines to form the Z-fold.
Decorate the panels with your Designer Series Paper, then add the stamped pumpkins and greeting to the front.
The angled greeting panel adds a little something unexpected, and I love how the pumpkins overlap the edges!
🌺 Crafty Tip: Try using a Shimmer Brush to color stamped images. It adds a beautiful sparkle while still allowing the stamped details to show through.
