Vintage Card for Convention

Cheryl · July 17, 2014 · Leave a Comment

I’m excited to share my vintage card I made for a Convention swap!  Today was our swap, so I’m free to show it off now!

  • Stamps: An Open Heart, Choose Happiness
  • Colors:  Very Vanilla (4 X 5 1/4 & 3 3/4 X 5), Crumb Cake, Lost Lagoon (3 7/8 X 5 1/8)
  • Accessories:  Lovely Lace Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Floral Frames Framelits, Circles Framelits (#5), Bird Builder Punch, 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch, Aqua Painter, Antique Brads, Venetian Crochet Trim, 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon Lost Lagoon, Linen Thread, Stampin’ Distress Tool, Sponge Daubers, Pearl Basic JewelsIMG_5160Notice the new embossing folder?  It’s called Lovely Lace, & is so pretty!!  I cut out the bird, which was really easy since I stamped the image first, and didn’t have to cut out those bird feet! IMG_5162I just LOVE the sentiment, don’t you?  I’m fortunate to have several friends like this in my life…that are “always there”.  One of them is my upline, Anne.  We’ve been texting pictures back & forth to help each other get our swaps “just right!”.  She suggested doing a subtle wash over the bird to make it stand out more.  Notice the touch of blue on the belly & tail.IMG_5161Hope you enjoyed this card.  Please follow my blog (on the sidebar) to see posts from me at least twice a week.

Thanks for stopping by!  Cheryl
