Aloha and welcome to another edition of the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop! Twenty of my Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator friends are joining me in this worldwide blog that stretches all the way from New Zealand to Hawaii across twelve different time zones.
The general theme for this month is “CASE the Mini Switcharoo”. The rules are: we CASE something from the new Mini Catalog, but use different colors and different stamp sets. Love it!
I found this nice card on page 22 of the new Mini Catalog that features the new Symbols of Fortune Suite. Very elegant! Can’t wait to get my hands on that gorgeous paper!
I’ll show you my card.
What do you think?!! Can you spot the similarities- and the differences?
To CASE is an acronym for COPY AND SHARE EVERYTHING. It’s a great way to come up with a card when you’re stuck for ideas! Start with a card you like, and just make it yours. You can change up the paper, the colors, and the stamp sets. Or copy it exactly! Just be sure to give credit to the original artist!
This is one of the cards we’ll be making in my February Card Layout Classes!
My card today uses the stamp set, In the Moment. On the inside, I’ve used a new Sale-a-Bration set (FREE with a $50 order!), Island Vibes.
There are several things I really love about this card:
- The tropical design! My Hawaii customers will love it!
- The 3 panels that show off the Designer Series Paper
- The sentiment! Relax!!
