Aloha Stampers!
Do you love finding a card layout that’s simple to make but looks like you spent lots of time on it? This Christmas card is one of those!
I’ve used the beautiful Stitched Season Designer Series Paper, and I especially love the quilt-inspired designs. My daughter and I both enjoy quilting, so naturally, this paper caught my eye!

A Simple Christmas Card Layout
One of my favorite things about this card is how easy it is to put together. Just choose two coordinating patterns of Designer Series Paper, add a greeting, and you’re almost finished!
Here are the measurements so you can try it yourself:
- Thick Basic White Cardstock: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Real Red Cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Stitched Season DSP: 2 1/2″ x 5″
- Stitched Season DSP: 1″ x 5″ (coordinating pattern)
- Basic White Cardstock: 3″ x 3″ scrap for the greeting
I stamped the Christmas Joy greeting from the Pretty Poinsettia Stamp Set and cut it out using the Stylish Shapes Dies.
For a little extra sparkle, I colored in the word JOY using the Peaceful Pine Shimmer Brush. It’s difficult to capture that shimmer in a photograph, but it’s so pretty in person!
A few Dew Drops Embellishments were the perfect finishing touch.

🌺 Crafty Tip:
Try combining two coordinating DSP patterns—one bold and one more subtle. This layout is a wonderful way to use those narrow strips of paper you’ve been saving, and it would look beautiful with almost any Designer Series Paper!
I hope you’ll give this easy layout a try. You could use it for birthdays, thank-you cards, or just about any occasion.
And since this paper reminds me of quilting, I’m curious—do you enjoy quilting too, or is there another craft you love besides card making? I’d love to hear about it in the comments!
